Arab Bank is offering a great career opportunity for the position of Senior Buyer – Procurement Department within its professional team. The primary role involves ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures, managing the procurement team, and coordinating with suppliers to secure the best deals in terms of quality, price, and conditions. The role also includes overseeing procurement requests from initiation to the receipt of goods or services, preparing proposals and requests for quotations, and negotiating with suppliers

Key Responsibilities  

    Ensure Compliance with Policies & Procedures: Guarantee full adherence to all procurement policies and procedures to ensure tasks are executed according to required standards  

 Manage the Procurement Team: Supervise the performance of other buyers in the department, monitor progress, and ensure targets are met    

   Follow Up on Purchase Requests: Track the execution of purchase requests to ensure accurate and timely processing  

 Prepare Bids & Requests for Proposals: Develop RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and supplier lists for complex and non-standard procurements  

 Negotiate with Suppliers: Secure the best deals in terms of quality, price, and terms    

Prepare Purchase Recommendations & Orders: Provide necessary purchase recommendations and issue purchase orders

  Daily Coordination with Suppliers: Maintain continuous communication with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services     

   Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of all bids and procurement transactions  

 Assist the Payments Department: Support the payments team in 

resolving invoice-related issues or discrepancie      

 Resolve Procurement Disputes: Handle issues related to non-conforming materials or services  

 Train New & Existing Employees: Provide training to procurement team members to ensure compliance with procedures

Requirements    

 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Supply Chain, or a related field

    Experience: At least 4 years of experience in procurement

Required Skills

   Excellent negotiation and communication skills

       High level of integrity        

Ability to make sound decisions within delegated authority
